Quantum Stirling engine based on dinuclear metal complexes

نویسندگان

چکیده

Low-dimensional metal complexes are versatile materials with tunable physical and chemical properties that make these systems promising platforms for caloric applications. In this context, work proposes a quantum Stirling cycle based on dinuclear complex as working substance. The results show the operational modes can be managed when considering change in magnetic coupling of material temperature reservoirs. Moreover, susceptibility used to characterize heat exchanges each step and, therefore, its performance. As proof concept, efficiency engine is obtained from experimental data. These open doors studying thermodynamic cycles by using complexes; further development emerging technologies advanced materials.

Dissymmetric dinuclear transition metal complexes as dual site catalysts for the polymerization of ethylene

A series of dissymmetric dinuclear complexes were synthesized, as dual site catalysts in ethylene polymerization, by coupling the allylated a-diimine complexes of the metals Ti, Zr, V, Ni and Pd with the ansa-zirconocene complex [C5H4-SiH(Me)-C5H4]ZrCl2 possessing a hydride silane moiety. The different stages of syntheses included the formation of bis(cyclopentadienide)methyl silane which was u...

Tuning the metal-to-metal charge transfer energy of cyano-bridged dinuclear complexes.

The metal-to-metal charge transfer (MMCT) transitions of a series of Class II mixed valence dinuclear complexes bearing cyano bridging ligands may be varied systematically by variations to either the hexacyanometallate(II) donor or Co(III) acceptor moieties. Specifically, the new dinuclear species trans-[L(14S)CoNCFe(CN)(5)](-)(L(14S)= 6-methyl-1,11-diaza-4,8-dithia-cyclotetradecane-6-amine) an...
